she's 17 and instaweekend love...

17 years ago today

our second little blessing came along...

our pediatrician always told us from the day

she was born that...

"this one is going to be one tough cookie and

she's going to hold her own."

boy, was he right!

happy birthday

to my one tough cookie...

i love you to the moon and back

even in our moments

and boy do we have them!

saturday i did the most surprising thing ever...

what started out as a 5 mile long run for the morning

turned into 6, 7, 8, 9 then 10!

 i'm feeling a little more 

confident that i will actually be able to

start and finish a half marathon

which i want to cross of my bucket list this year.

maybe i will : ).

enjoyed some frozen yogurt

at orange leaf during a mall trip with maddie...

magnets passed out at church

seems like pinterest is starting to really take off

and spreading its wings!

i signed up with pinterest a couple of years

ago when they first started and i

have created many boards...

to name a few

i have a foodie, fashion, crafting, DIY, & decorating boards

i have been

 liking, pinning, repinning, 

the whole 9 yards ever since!

it's really fun and can get very addicting at first.

i think my most favorite board is

"words of wisdom"

i love quotes...

there's nothing better than words of inspiration

that can help remind me to be a better 

person, mom, daughter, friend, wife...

to inspire me when i have no motivation...

to lift me up when i am down...

to remind me to be humble and grateful...

moving into february....

 my january photo a day 2012 challenge

in collage form...

what turned out as a 1 month photo project is 

leading into another month...

with chantelle (fat mum slim blog) creating

monthly daily prompts

i might be getting myself into another 365 project

which wasn't even in my radar of things

to do for this year.

but with the prompts it sure makes it easy.

moving into february...

on meeting kellie pickler...

she's from these parts before she made it big 

on season 5 of america idol.

last sunday, she was back here in the area

and had an autograph signing session at a local walmart.

michael's friend christian is a huge fan 

so he dragged michael along to see if they could

meet her...

they left at 2 pm and stood in line...

2 hours went by

then 4 hours...

and while waiting...

they befriended the people in front of them 

and behind them 

someone even went as far as

buying a deck of uno cards so that they

could all play while waiting.

then 6 hours...

then 8 hours...

and then it was finally their turn...

michael said it took so long because

kelly actually took the time to talk

to each and every person and 

took pictures with them as well.

it was worth the wait...

they were both smitten by sweet kellie pickler!
